Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how iLoveBills: Bill Tracker, also referred to as iLoveBills (the “App”), handles information. The App is provided by Pavel Matveev (“Developer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

1. Privacy summary

The App is designed to keep your bill data under your control:

2. Data you enter and results generated by the App

You may enter bill names, amounts, currencies, issue dates, due dates, paid dates, payment status, billing periods, categories, notes, reminder settings, and attachments such as receipts, images, or PDFs.

The App may use this data on your device to calculate totals, summaries, comparisons, trends, statistics, and smart insights. These generated results are based on your data and are not separately sent to the Developer.

The App does not ask for or store card numbers, bank account details, login credentials, or payment credentials.

This data is stored on your device using Apple’s local storage technologies. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your bill records, and we do not have routine access to them.

3. Optional iCloud synchronization

If you enable iCloud synchronization, the App data described above, including supported attachments, may be synchronized through the private CloudKit database connected to your Apple Account. Apple processes and stores that data under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

Changes and deletions made on one synchronized device may propagate to other devices. Synchronization timing and availability depend on Apple services, network access, storage capacity, account settings, device configuration, and compatible software.

We do not operate a separate cloud backup of your bill data and do not receive a copy of your private CloudKit records. You control iCloud through your device and Apple Account settings.

4. Reminders and notifications

If you enable reminders, the App uses iOS notification features to schedule notifications. Reminder content and scheduling information are handled on your device and may also be included in your private iCloud synchronization where supported.

We do not operate a notification server and do not use reminder data for advertising or profiling.

5. Purchases

Optional paid features offered under the name iLoveBills Pro may be purchased through Apple’s StoreKit and the App Store. Apple processes payment information and may provide the App with transaction or entitlement status needed to unlock and restore the purchase.

We do not receive your full card or bank details. Apple may provide developers with sales, transaction, refund, and financial reports under Apple’s own privacy practices.

6. Exchange-rate service

To provide currency conversion, the App may contact the public Frankfurter exchange-rate API. The request includes the selected base currency and does not include your bill records, amounts, notes, attachments, or payment status.

As with any internet request, ordinary network information such as your IP address may be visible to the service and its infrastructure provider. Frankfurter states that its API does not itself collect personal data, while its public service uses Cloudflare, which may collect basic information for analytics. See Frankfurter’s information.

7. Support emails

If you choose to contact support, your email app will send the information you include, such as your email address, message, screenshots, attachments, and device or app details. We use it to answer your request, troubleshoot problems, protect the App, and keep reasonable support records.

Do not include sensitive financial credentials or unnecessary personal information in support messages.

8. Diagnostics

The App does not independently collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or crash diagnostics through third-party SDKs.

Apple may provide developers with crash reports, performance information, or diagnostics if you have chosen to share them through your device or Apple settings. Apple handles that information under its privacy policy.

Where data-protection law applies to information we actually process, we use it only as needed to:

Depending on the situation, the legal basis may be performance of a contract, your consent for optional features, our legitimate interests in support and security, or compliance with law.

10. Sharing and sale

We do not sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it for cross-app tracking.

The website hosting this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use is provided through GitHub Pages. GitHub states that it logs and stores a visitor’s IP address for security purposes. GitHub handles this information under its General Privacy Statement. We do not use the legal website to collect bill data and do not add analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.

Other information may be handled by Apple, Frankfurter/Cloudflare, and your email provider as described above. We may also disclose information we actually hold if required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, safety, or security.

11. Retention and deletion

Local App data remains until you delete it, delete the App, or erase the relevant device storage.

Data synchronized through iCloud remains subject to your deletion actions, synchronization state, other connected devices, and Apple’s iCloud controls. Deleting a synchronized item on one device may also delete it from other devices. Deleting the App from one device may not delete every iCloud copy.

Support emails and related records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

12. Security

We use a privacy-minimizing architecture, but no device, software, storage system, email service, or network transmission is completely secure. Protect your device, passcode, Apple Account, iCloud account, and backups.

13. International processing

Apple, Frankfurter/Cloudflare, GitHub, and email providers may process information in countries other than your own under their respective privacy terms and safeguards.

14. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information we hold, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Because we do not have access to your local or private iCloud bill data, you normally manage that data directly in the App, on your devices, or through Apple’s iCloud settings. For support information we hold, contact us at the address below.

Requests concerning information processed independently by GitHub should be directed to GitHub under its General Privacy Statement.

You may disable notifications in the App or iOS settings and disable iCloud synchronization through the available App or Apple settings.

15. Children

The App is not designed for or directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

16. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, services, or legal requirements change. Material changes may be communicated in the App or through the website.
